TRIGONTRIGON
TR886-BIKEBRAND ITEMBIKE MODEL TR886 ROADSIZES 700Cò52(M)FRAME TRIGON TR886FORK TRIGON RC52SHEADSET TRIGON R5SPACER TRIGON HW01-10, 40MMSHIFTERS SHIMANO 105 5800 SERIESBRAKE LEVER SHIMANO 105 5800 SERIESF.DERAILLEUR SHIMANO 105 5800 SERIESR.DERAILLEUR SHIMANO 105 5800 SERIESBRAKE SHIMANO 105 5800 SERIESCASSETTE SHIMANO 5800 11-28TCHAIN SHIMANO 105 5800 SERIESHANDLE BAR Ritchey PRO EVO CURVESTEM Ritchey Pro 4-Axis 44SEATPOST TRIGON SP107SADDLE PROLOGO SCRATCH PRO T2.0GRIP / TAPE TRIGONWHEEL SHIMANO RS11 FOR 11SPEEDTIRE MAXXIS M212R 700*23C FoldableCABLE JAGWIRE=======言归正传=======先上车子的整体图

TRIGON is a bicycle brand that started out doing OEM work; nearly ten years ago it took “carbon fiber” as its point of breakthrough and set off down the road of building a bike brand of its own. What I’m showing off this time is TRIGON’s entry-level carbon road bike, the TRIGON TR886.
Let me start with the story of how I bought it. The initial budget was around three thousand, then I happened to run into a colleague who seriously knows his bikes…ten thousand words omitted here…and in the end I decided to raise the budget just a tiny bit..to around eight thousand. The likes of Campagnolo and Bianchi are naturally out of reach for a riding newbie, and entirely unnecessary anyway, so I decided to start with an entry-level road bike. I agonized for ages between the MIT bike that is all the rage on Taobao and this one, but alas MIT required a pre-order wait of nearly half a month…so after agonizing for half a month I bought this one (isn’t that the same thing, half a month went by all the same…=======First, allow me to present my knees spec sheet.TR886-BIKEBRAND ITEMBIKE MODEL TR886 ROADSIZES 700Cò52(M)FRAME TRIGON TR886FORK TRIGON RC52SHEADSET TRIGON R5SPACER TRIGON HW01-10, 40MMSHIFTERS SHIMANO 105 5800 SERIESBRAKE LEVER SHIMANO 105 5800 SERIESF.DERAILLEUR SHIMANO 105 5800 SERIESR.DERAILLEUR SHIMANO 105 5800 SERIESBRAKE SHIMANO 105 5800 SERIESCASSETTE SHIMANO 5800 11-28TCHAIN SHIMANO 105 5800 SERIESHANDLE BAR Ritchey PRO EVO CURVESTEM Ritchey Pro 4-Axis 44SEATPOST TRIGON SP107SADDLE PROLOGO SCRATCH PRO T2.0GRIP / TAPE TRIGONWHEEL SHIMANO RS11 FOR 11SPEEDTIRE MAXXIS M212R 700*23C FoldableCABLE JAGWIRE=======Back to business=======First, the bike in full
Then shots of it in every position

This one is my favorite~ that soul-stirring little rear view~ The whole bike carries no superfluous paintwork; the simple red-and-black scheme is low-key yet flashy; absolutely love the frame. The TR886: one search on Taobao and this frame alone somehow goes for over five thousand..mind you, my entire bike was only eight thousand..feels awfully fishy
The fork. No, the fork is not dirty; this is the much-touted marble grain. Formed naturally..but did it really have to form into something that looks this much like water stains, hey
The drivetrain. A 105 groupset. One nice thing about a complete bike from a small maker like TRIGON is that they use one groupset all the way through, unlike certain idiot manufacturers who stick a Tigra here and a sola there..As for feel, the 105’s feedback is still a bit better than Sram Rival; Rival feels too stiff and clacks far too loudly. Also, it took me a few rides to discover that a road bike gives you nowhere to see which gear you are actually in..fine, I admit I’m slow
The brakes. Come to think of it, I haven’t used the front brake even once. Mommy, I’m scared of going head over heels
The wheelset. TRIGON could not rise above convention either: the trashy RS11 wheelset. Fine, it was bound to be swapped sooner or later; I already have my eye on a certain M-brand wheelset, flashy as can be and loud as can be. Once spring is here and my knees have stopped shattering, it’s buy buy buy. A mere half the price of the whole bike will do!
The tires. There is honestly nothing to say about the tires; this is purely the compulsion to photograph every single component. I am so not a Virgo. Oh, and a few days ago I even spotted Panasonic tires. Panasonic is just..mind-blowingly awesome
The cockpit. I love the RITCHEY logo. Also people keep saying it looks like RR . The computer is a Cateye Q3A. Honestly though, do you all actually find this computer usable! That huge patch of screen shows heart rate and won’t even let you change it! All I really want to see is whether my cadence is steady! Gah!
The PROLOGO saddle. I can’t speak for other saddles, but this one is not very comfortable. The second shot seems to have missed focus..(exactly! if it isn’t cranked to F1.4 then I am Mr. Uncomfortablesky, and who cares one bit whether anything is legible! The little light at the back cost five kuai; by the way, if any of you ride at night, please do take these safety precautions~ last time I very nearly crashed..oh, and I also bought a Fenix BTR20, I’ll show that off next time
One last shot~ I have completely forgotten why I took this photo..much as I have no idea what this rambling log has been on about…=======Oh right, I forgot the whole point! Why is carbon still the way to go for a road bike? Because carbon is light! The whole bike comes in under 8 kg, up and down the stairs with ease!
What? The effect of a carbon frame on the actual riding? That should not even be within the scope of consideration, okay!
