时间Time

The human brain does not gauge how fast or slow time passes by counting off a watch; it sits in a cinema called “now,” watching a film called “the past.”

When the past is rich, the film runs longer; when the past is thin, it presses fast-forward.

You enter the cinema to watch the film, and each ticket admits you exactly once. If, when you reach the later reels, you feel no remorse that too little was ever filmed, and no shame that what was filmed was too shoddy, then the ticket was not bought in vain.
